D G Q Services Ltd was founded in May 2008 by David Quirk.

David, who initially trained as a Technician at Northbrook Technical College, Worthing, had many years of experience working in the field of Diesel Engine Development, starting out in 1990 in the Heavy Duty Diesel Development Department of the world famous Ricardo Consulting Engineers.

At that time Ricardo had the highest number of Graduate Engineers on one site anywhere in the world; this proved to be a great environment in which to learn and further develop.

Over the course of the next eighteen years David developed his skill set and broadened his experience with a number of engine manufactures, building on the solid disciplines instilled at Ricardo, e.g., production of quality test data and robust analysis

In 2008, disillusioned with the role he was working in, David set up D G Q Services Ltd. and began contracting his skills and experience. This lead to opportunities to work on the historic Napier "Deltic" engine in a role which drew on most of the skills developed previously.

Since the Company's founding we have provided technical know how and equipment to help manufacturers bring products to market in fields as diverse as Off-Highway, Military, Power Generation, Automotive (Internal Combustion and Electric Drives), Passenger Rolling Stock and Product Testing
